Tanya who, recently has graduated a foreign language Institute, continues to work as a tutor for the grandson of a major official, the architect Zabelin. The professor's dacha is located in the closed village "Birch Grove", where representatives of the Soviet bohemia and the nomenklatura live. The main character, a girl from the countryside, doesn't feel herself like a strange in this "communist paradise", she made friends with all the inhabitants of the professor's dacha. However, everyone in this house is hiding something from each other. Tanya is again got involved in a story with a fatal outcome...
