Nature has endowed a semi- educated weaver from the town of Vyshny Volochok with a strong character, charm and luck. Furtseva was able to get noticed - first by Stalin and after by Khrushchev. In an era when, according to the founder of Marxism-Leninism, "every cook will be the head of state," only she, Catherine Furtseva, managed to become the living embodiment of this rather hypocritical statement.

Catherine Furtseva built a brilliant career for herself during the Soviet times - from the factory machine to the tribune of the Mausoleum. She was the only woman in the Presidium of the CPSU Central Committee.

She was not happy in any of her relationships. Striving to be the first woman in politics, destroyed her life. Men could not forgive her meteoric rise. Heavy drinking during the recent years and suicide attempts led to the tragic consequences - Furtseva left this life against his will. Nobody believed the diagnose of the Kremlin doctors "acute heart failure" ...
