The investigator of Investigative Committee - Irina Merkulova constantly has to make a choice: family or official duty. Her marriage is ready to collapse, because of she works seven days a week. And in order to save the relationship, she is preparing a surprise party, at which she plans to tell her husband that she is expecting a child. But instead of a romantic dinner in a restaurant, as often happened before, she goes to the crime scene. This time, Merkulova is “hot on her heels” investigating the death of the bank director. The main character finds herself in a situation where she not only finds out who of employee is involved in the murder, but also tests the strength of her marriage...
